Today, our news team is on location in Oakland, Calif with multi-talented award-winning composer, arranger, producer, and engineer James Gardiner and his business partner, Producer/Director, Paula Telander.
He’s a 2-time Grammy Nominated recording engineer with 42 gold and platinum awards to his credit. He has spent much of his time discovering and mentoring talent such as recording artists Kenny G, Beyonce, En Vogue, Tupac Shakur, Nikita Germaine, Rosie Gains, and Philip Woo.
He offers that rare combination of talent in composition and orchestration along with excellence in technical areas of music production, engineering, and mastering.
He co-founded a prominent recording studio, PAJAMA Studios, which he built with his business partner, in Jack London Square in Oakland, California,
Since 1993, PAJAMA has been recognized as Oakland’s first world-class commercial recording facility and has been featured on the cover of MIX Magazine, MIX’s Twelve Great Studios of the World calendar, and the Great Studios of the Western U.S. calendar for two consecutive years.
James also founded in 2006, Gardiner Music Mentoring (GMM), providing personalized mentorship, hands-on curriculum with world-class special mentors. A place where students can learn, create and fulfill possibilities in the real world of music production, engineering, composition and perform.
